Sunday Equipping Hour ministries

Sunday Mornings at 9:00 am

  • Know why you believe

Our study together with Know Why You Believe will center on how to better equip yourself when engaging various unbelievers in dialog about the vital truths of the Christian faith. The study will therefore attempt to focus our greater preparation for both evangelism and apologetics. Through both the book and the CD instruction of Dr. Scott Oliphint of Westminster Theological Seminary, we will be better prepared to engage others with the Gospel and the truths of why we Christians believe as we do. Come prepared to learn much about how to both communicate and defend the faith once for all delivered to the saints! This study begins February 17 and  is led by Pastor Lance Quinn in room 204.

  • church history study

Church History is the study the Holy Spirit’s work through the church from the end of the first century AD to the present day. Studying church history reminds us that we are part of a movement that is bigger than ourselves, our families, our church, and our denominations. Please bring your Bible. All other materials will be provided. This class will begin February 24 and is led by John Saltee in room 201.

Topics range from the character of God to church participation, so it's an ideal study for new believers or a helpful review and fresh encouragement for even the most seasoned saints. • family hour - parents & children

Parents and children are welcomed and encouraged to praise God together through fun worship songs. We will also have a short Bible lesson followed by Family Table Time. The Family Table Time is designed to facilitate family discussions that reinforce important biblical truths from the lesson using thought provoking and creative learning activities. We also encourage each family to use the Generations of Grace Companion Family Devotional Booklet during the week ($10). The Devotional Booklet has daily passages and discussion questions to help the father/parents disciple their children at home daily by both reviewing and going in-depth on the lesson and bible passages taught the prior Sunday.
