The Men’s Ministry at Bethany is designed to encourage and exhort men to be leaders in their home, church, and community. Various ministries, classes, Bible studies, and small groups are regularly offered for this purpose of showing men how to mature and lead effectively. Men are also routinely being discipled and mentored in the context of their leadership development including, but not limited to, the training needed to serve the church in the offices of deacon and elder. Retreats, conferences, and breakfast fellowships are also structured into the overall strategy for coming alongside men in order to help them grow spiritually. What does it mean to be a man made in the image of God? And what does it mean to be a man under God’s grace, called according to His purpose? In The Masculine Mandate, Dr. Richard D. Phillips cuts through the cultural confusion, highlights God’s mandate for men, and encourages readers to join him on a journey of repentance and renewal. Phillips begins in the Garden of Eden, drawing foundational teaching for men in the earliest chapters of God’s Word. He provides clear biblical instruction for husbands, fathers, and sons as he carefully examines important truths from Scripture. Book is available at the BBC Bookstore!

Our current study is Knowing God. J. I. Packer's Knowing God has become a classic of the Christian faith. Why? While it gives us information about God with clarity and grace, it does much more---it aids us in actually knowing him, in building our relationship with him, and helps draw us closer to him in love and worship.
