Bible studies are the core of our Women's Ministry at Bethany. Studying God's Word lays the foundation for spiritual growth as we learn to walk daily with the Lord. We offer Bible studies throughout the year, with classes held at different times and days of the week. Each study includes plans for personal study throughout the week that will help you to dig deeply into God's Word. For more information email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Sermon on the Mount is probably the best known section of the entire Bible. Yet it is also one of the least understood parts of the teaching of Jesus Christ. 'It is not a sermon about an ideal life in an ideal world' writes Dr. Sinclair B. Ferguson, 'but about the kingdom life in a fallen world'. It answers some of the most pressing questions that every Christian encounters: What is a Christian? Does the Law of God still have a place in the Christian life? How can I learn to pray? How can I learn self-discipline? Why am I a prisoner to anxiety?
The Sermon on the Mount deals with these issues in a crisp, concise and readable way. It provides an ideal introduction to Jesus' great manifesto for life in his kingdom.

“Teach what accords with sound doctrine. Older women . . . are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled . . . so that in everything they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior.”
Titus 2:3-5, 10
With these words from the book of Titus as our guide, we encourage women to study, learn and mentor others about understanding, living, and passing on the legacy of biblical womanhood to the next generation. Join one of our studies and look to God’s Word for His perspective on the character, commitments, and attitudes of godly women—and His prescribed process for helping us live out these virtues not only today, but from generation to generation.
Below is the current list of discipleship group book studies under the ministry umbrella of Titus 2.
With Titus 2:3-5 as our guide, our desire is to equip women to pass on the legacy of biblical womanhood to the next generation.
This is God’s good and beautiful plan, the biblical model of older women living out the gospel and training younger women to do the same, of younger women recognizing the value of older women in their lives—of women adorning the gospel together. Living our lives as Titus 2 women enables us to fulfill the purpose for which we were created. It helps our families and churches to flourish and the beauty of the gospel to shine forth in our world. This is Christian community as God designed it.
Our full-year study will look to God’s Word for His perspective on the character, commitments, and attitudes of godly women—and His prescribed process for helping us live out these virtues not only today, but from generation to generation.
Using Nancy D. Wolgemuth’s book, Adorned, the Women's Titus 2 Discipleship Groups meets in Bethany's Library on the fourth Tuesday and third & fourth Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm. All classes are full. Additional Titus 2 offerings will begin in the fall of 2022.
Keeping Your Balance
Keeping Your Balance looks at the challenge that Christians face in maintaining a biblical balance in seven key areas of life. These include the following: family and ministry; self-denial and liberty; patience and confrontation; the temporal and the eternal; the inner man and the outer man; reality and hope; and striving and trusting. In each of these categories, the author first highlights the balance that is clearly set forth for the believers in Scripture.
Second, a discussion is presented of the symptoms that may be manifested when an individual loses balance in a particular area. The practical life consequences of that imbalance are also examined. And understanding of these tensions is absolutely vital for living a life to the glory of God.

Lies Women Believe
We are like Eve. We have all experienced defeats and failures, trouble and turmoil. We have all experienced a selfish heart, a shrewish spirit, anger, envy and bitterness. And we ache to do things over, to have lives of harmony and peace.
Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth sheds light on how we can be delivered from bondage and set free to walk in God's grace, forgiveness, and abundant life. This book offers the most effective weapon to counter and overcome Satan's deceptions - God's truth.
Counter the lies that keep you from abundant living. Satan is the master deceiver and his lies are endless. And the lies Christian women believe are at the root of most of their struggles.
